About The Livery Facility

The Equine House offers two levels of livery in Hoedspruit, allowing owners to choose between comprehensive daily management and a more hands-on semi-DIY arrangement. Our facilities have been developed specifically for horses living in the Lowveld environment, with indoor and outdoor options that consider comfort throughout the year.


Services offered

Our Full Inside Livery provides comprehensive daily care, including stable cleaning, morning and evening feeding with forage and concentrates, turn-out and turn-in, rug changing when required and regular health monitoring. Horses are accommodated in purpose-built boxes with individual tack cupboards, while our team can oversee appointments with farriers, dentists and veterinarians at the owner's cost. Outside Semi-DIY Livery provides shaded paddock accommodation, shelter, clean water and daily feeding, while allowing owners to take a more active role in their horse's individual routine and care. Livery clients also have access to The Equine House's riding and tack-up facilities.

Our full-service option is designed for horse owners who seek convenience and peace of mind. Horses are housed in architecturally designed stables that remain cool in summer and warm in winter, ensuring year-round comfort. Each stable is equipped with a private tack cupboard, allowing for tidy, secure storage of your riding equipment.

 

This package includes:

  • Daily stable cleaning
  • Three concentrated meals per day
  • Four forage nets per dayTurn-out and turn-in services
  • Rug changing and blanketing as needed
  • Regular health monitoring
  • Professional oversight of farrier, dentist, and veterinary visits (at the owner’s cost)


2. Outside Semi-DIY Livery

Ideal for those who enjoy hands-on care and want more involvement in their horse’s daily routine. Horses are housed in safe, shaded paddocks with access to shelter, clean water, and regular feed. While we provide basic services and support, owners take part in managing their horse’s specific care needs.

 

This option includes:

  • Use of facilities including arena and tack-up areas
  • Emergency care when needed
  • Three concentrated meals per day
